Come hang with us on your lunch break — we’ve launched a new lunchbox series where you can eat and learn! To kick it off, we’re hosting a coding series, where you can start learning basic HTML/CSS. Mark your calendars for October 14, 21, and 28 from 12pm – 2pm. Lunch will be provided!

October 14, 12pm – 2pm: Basic HTML

Does code terrify you? Want to get started but don’t know how? This session is for you. Learn about HTML tags, coding best practices, and what this HTML/CSS/JS alphabet soup all means. You’ll create a simple “About Me” page.

October 21, 12pm – 2pm: Basic CSS

Do you want your HTML pages to get out of the 90s and look better? This session is for you! Learn the magic of CSS and how to make things look nice on the web. You’ll create a simple resume page.

October 28, 12pm – 2pm: Build a simple personal website

Put the basic HTML and CSS skills you’ve learned together, and learn how to make simple multiple-column layouts. Also, learn about web hosting and how to get your pages up on the web for everyone to see. You’ll have the skills to make a simple HTML website, and will walk away with a 3-4 page site!

Absolutely no experience necessary, these sessions are for beginners. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis in ANN 301D.
