Malala Yousafzai’s story has spread across the world as a reminder of the importance of the right to equal education. Learn more about her story here.

We at The Digital Lounge believe strongly in the importance of empowering girls through secondary education–and we know that the rest of the Annenberg community does as well! And we want to do something about it.

So we need your help! Through the end of April, we’ll be collecting gently used kids’ and women’s clothing to donate to The Malala Fund. We’ll mail it and 40% of the proceeds will go directly to the Malala Fund to “support girls’ education projects in the most vulnerable communities around the world.”

The Malala Fund fights for the rights of all girls to have a minimum of 12 years of quality education, particularly in the Global South. You can learn more here.

So please stop by the Lounge to drop off your gently used (or new) clothes. We have a big box right when you walk into ANN 301. It’s easy, it’s free, and every little bit helps! #withmalala
