SCFX Workshop: Match Moving in Mocha

Taylor Winchell

On Monday, October 3 at 7pm, USC’s Visual Effects Club (SCFX) is excited to offer you an exclusive hands-on workshop with Mocha Pro. If you’ve ever wondered how to remove an errant boom pole or dolly tracks from a shot, this workshop is for you!

In collaboration with Imagineer Systems, this workshop will be led by Mary Poplin, senior product specialist at Imagineer Systems and Boris FX.

Mocha Pro is an award winning 2.5D tracking software for match moving and object removal. Built on its renowned Planar Tracking image engine, Mocha follows “pixel patterns” through difficult conditions including objects that go off-screen and objects that are partially obscured.

The best part is, Mocha AE comes bundled with Adobe After Effects–so whether you are an AE guru or just dabbling, it is super easy to get started in Mocha. It is used professionally in films and TV shows such as The Wolf of Wall Street, The Hobbit, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead.
